Leone Caron, MBA, CMPE, has witnessed significant changes in the revenue cycle processes in her 40 years of working with both large and small provider groups. Leone’s approach to revenue cycle can be summarized into a basic equation of Root Cause + Resolution = Results.
Leone believes that with the multitude of moving parts in any billing and collection process, leaders cannot focus on any one task or metric. Leading revenue cycle teams to look beyond the task to be completed and understand the causes and impacts to patients, providers and the practice is the foundation for success.
Through her career, Leone has been instrumental in working with all areas of an organization to develop and improve metric reporting, optimize the revenue cycle processes within the given practice management system, and ensure timely and accurate information for financial reporting. Maintaining meaningful dashboards that contain key performance measures provides the transparency needed to compare against industry best practices and continually assess revenue cycle operations.
Leone completed her Bachelor of Science at Texas Tech University and holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Services from the University of Dallas. Leone considers herself a consummate “billing geek”.
