Cynthia Gustafson, Controller, has 30 years of experience of “full cycle” accounting for small to medium-sized businesses. She has worked in a variety of industries including health care, oil and gas, TV production, construction, retail, restaurant and non-profit. She also worked for a local CPA firm that provided start-up and ongoing services to new and thriving businesses. Working in a variety of industries gives Cynthia a fresh perspective about how to tackle issues that arise with current clients.
One of Cynthia’s specialties is “making things work.” Cynthia actively works to find viable solutions to optimize software and processes to get you the information and reports that you need. Additionally, she has personally worked in all aspects of the accounting cycle including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, Reconciliations, and Financial Reporting to have a full range of knowledge and be able to see the big picture. She has always worked directly with managers, owners, and tax preparers to get them the information they look for and need to optimize the business.
Cynthia provides confidence to managers and owners that the information they are receiving is accurate. This is accomplished by running all activity through the accounting software and allows the ability to “drill down” into the details to see what makes up income or expense amounts for better analysis of the business.
Cynthia holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University. Her professional career took her to Houston and San Francisco before returning to her roots in Dallas.
